Starting his career in fitness, as a personal trainer in one of Melbourne’s first PT studios and from there moved to a franchise owner with Genesis Fitness Clubs. After a successful launch of his first commercial health club in Karingal Victoria, he co founded Fenix Fitness Clubs, a brand that over the next 4 years grew to 10 clubs across Australia under a range of ownership structures including franchisee, PE and eventually sold to ASX Ardent Leisure under the Goodlife brand. During this time, David held roles ranging from franchisee, National Operations Manager and National Business Development Manager. In 2017, David was appointed General Manager of Fitness First Australia, overseeing 61 clubs Nationally, 2500 staff and 800+ personal trainers. The success of his performance led to a change in role in September 2021, where he was appointed General Manager Club Operations of both Fitness First and Goodlife, doubling his portfolio of clubs and staff. In July 2022, David was appointed APAC CEO of BFT to allow the Founder and owner Cameron Fallon and owner Richard Bernett to focus on the International expansion of the business
